How many movies do you have to watch a year to be considered a film buff?

I’ve seriously gotten into movies in the last year and a half, and this year I am on pace to watch about 700 total movies this year. Do you think i have the right to call myself a film buff?

I couldn’t imagine watching two movies almost every day.. i was going to say like 104 so two a week.. haha

there’s no official definition on when a movie buff turns into one, not to my knowledge. But I assume you just have to have a vast knowledge of films, and a humongous passion for them.

You’re a film buff if your friends and family go to you when they want to know about a movie, or if they just know how much you know about films.

it depends, anyone could watch that amount of films, it depends what you take in from them, ultimatly when your a critic, quantity is nothing, it all comes down to how much info you take in
if its a serious passion, you should try to make a job of it
