In my class, I have an assignment to watch three of any television programs or movies that have a story or narrative (drama movies, I suppose is the genre) and is about the media and its influence on people. My professor brought up the TV show Madmen, the movie Wall-e, and Citizen Kane. If you can tell what type of TV shows or movies I am looking for from those suggestions, please recommend them.

I have never done this before. I am wanting to include some old home movies, on a slide show that I am doing for a friends wedding. The movies I want to include are old home movies that have been transfered from VHS to DVD. Problem is how does one save from the DVD onto their computer. Or does anyone know how I would transfer the home movie from the VHS tape onto my computer. What kind of VCR would I need to use. Thanks for any and all of you help. I really appreciate it a lot.

Every time I go to Netflix its not really any good movies. For example if I put in “room mate” it don’t find it or it goes to that dvd thing if I type in “Carmen: a hip hopera” the same thing happens. When can I go to find recent movies or what do I have to do. Also how long it take for the movie to get to Netflix from the time its in the movie theater.

I’ve seen both the Waiting movies, but I just recently had surgery and I work in a restaurant with some awesome people and since I am on bedrest they are planning to come to my place for a movie night I thought it would be fun if we watched movies having to do with serving or waitressing! Let me know of some good funny ones please!!

Admit it, you’ve teared up during a movie or two. Which movies or tv shows have brought a tear to your eye, or made you totally bawl like a baby? If you can, also mention the scenes in the movie that got to you the most. Any movie that shows old/elderly people cry always gets to me. I just hate seeing people cry in general. And nearly every pixar movie has brought me close to tears at a scene or two. What about you?

I am going to have a movie night Friday night and I was just wondering what are some good movies to watch. I like horror movies and comedies, but I watch everything! So i just need a kind of “playlist” if you will. Thanks!

- A walk to remember
- Titanic
- Dear John
- I am Sam
- Love and other drugs
-My girl

Any movies like these and I’ll be happy. I adore all of them.

Some movies i don’t really like are:

- The notebook
- Any tacky romantic films.
- Just no thanks.

PS. I like movies that make me cry a little.
